Can I take a pushchair and car seat on TUI?
Yes. TUI lets you check in 2 child items when you travel with an infant: pushchair or buggy, car seat, travel cot. You still carry them through both airports, check them in at the check-in or bag drop desk and collect them from the baggage belt (or at the aircraft door at some airports) in Heraklion.
How far can I take the pushchair on TUI?
Pushchairs travel in the hold free of charge. TUIfly allows up to two baby items per infant, while TUI Airways states no limit for pushchairs and car seats. You can use the pushchair up to the gate (TUIfly says up to the aircraft entrance), and it needs a label from check-in. With TUI Airways it comes back on the baggage belt; with TUIfly it is returned after you leave the aircraft or on the baggage belt.
Can my baby use a car seat on board TUI?
Car seats travel in the hold free of charge. To use one on board, the child needs their own booked seat and the car seat must be approved for aircraft use: TUI Airways asks for a seat less than 40 cm wide labelled as suitable for aircraft, and TUIfly asks for ECE R44-03 or higher with a harness and an aircraft label, registered by phone at least two working days before departure. TUI does not state that it provides car seats, so bring your own.
